First Semester of College

My first semester of college is done!! It flew by so fast! I was so nervous about my first class to meet new people and have grades. But it was fantastic!! I learned to interact in an educational way, but also being helpful and friendly. Everyone was so loving and caring. I am the youngest in my class, but I fit in well with everyone. And the Pathway missionaries are so loving and kind. Fun fact: The Pathway couple was in my mom's ward when she was growing up.

The first semester subject was life skills. It was a perfect way to begin college. I learned how to be a better disciple, be a leader, how to balance my life, and to give back. My favorite part was being able to teach others. I was able to teach my grandma, cousin, and my immediate family. I learned so much just by teaching them. I'm grateful for being able to learn Life Skills; it helped me grow a stronger testimony and come closer to my Savior.

This semester also taught me how to make goals and stick to them. Each week I would have to make a short term goal. It was hard sometimes to keep up with the goal, but I accomplished them all. Some of them I have made long term goals. I did make a few goals before I actually started school. One was having the constant companion of the Holy Ghost. I had to let go of things that were holding me back from having that companionship. But it was for the better. It's a wonderful goal that I try to live up to each day. I want and need his guidance, but I will only have it if I am being righteous.

I have already started the second semester, and I'm already learning a lot. This semester is English. I will refresh my grammar skills and learn how to write a fabulous paper. I hope this semster can also encourage me to write more on my blog. We'll see!
