If I Never Knew You

My first paper I wrote for English Semester had to be a "love letter". It couldn't be to someone, but to something I liked. Well, I chose Disney because I have an unconditional love for all of it, and it was a broad subject to express my love too. I had two weeks to work on it. My classmates were really helpful on making this a well written love letter. Enjoy!

Where do I begin? It seems like just yesterday I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time. Mom thought that movie was a little dark for me - granted I was four. I love the way you tell stories; you make them come to life with song and color. My favorite story is when a little Hawaiian girl befriends an “angel”. This story touches my heart because she wanted a friend and in return he learned the importance of O’hana.
I've always dreamt of visiting your homeland in California, and I was able to make the journey there in 2002. The chicken pox evidently accompanied me on the trip, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying all your superb attractions. I’m sorry I didn’t go into Monstro the whale’s mouth; I was scared I would be swallowed like Jonah. I was super excited to later visit your world in Florida. Thank you for inviting the sun to come out, making the pools crystal clear, and having the palm trees sway. My tummy was happy with all the food I ate, especially the churros. The time I spent with all your princess and animal friends made it easy to open up to them. The most magical moment of my visits are seeing the outbursts of brilliance come to life in the night sky as I listen to the musical compositions. We both have come a long way since then, and I'm so happy we've been able to see each other through the years. And don’t worry, I will never grow up.
Do you remember our adventure on the sea together? Thank goodness I didn’t know too much about the Titanic, or I wouldn’t have made it out of the port. You stood so majestically there on the Big Blue. I can always count on what is on the inside. You are full of sparkle and light! We had some rocky moments on this trip. I wasn’t with my family every single second (which was nice), so I learned to put faith and trust into our relationship. I will admit, you do know how to put on a show. The magic show was absolutely spectacular! The magician gave a lot of people a fright when he said his snake was missing. Oh, the adventures we had on the islands. I’m sorry I wasn’t too eager to go into the ocean. I was afraid Bruce was going to get me. Dad assured me that “fish are friends, not food.” That didn’t make me feel any better at all. I was sad to leave you, but was grateful I was on steady ground.
I want to thank you for new friends you have introduced me to. I never thought we would get super heroes, galaxy warriors, toys that talk, and a mouse all in one kingdom. Your friend PIXAR took us both on many adventures. My favorite would be traveling to South America in a house carried by balloons. Your friend, Marvel, taught me that if you stand for good, you cannot fail. Also trust the guy with the eye-patch. I’m so happy you share with me your friendship with LucasFilms. We will all miss our beloved friend - Solo.
As I express my love to you, I thank you for always remembering who you are. Your imagination has helped my imagination come to life. This may sound cheesy, but I hold close to my heart all the time we have spent together. I love talking about you to my friends; I share all your great qualities and how you bring a smile to my face. And lastly, I want to thank you for telling me not to give up on my dreams. Someday, I hope we can work together because then my dream will come true. I love you down to the last speck of pixie dust.
Love your Mouseketeer,
