2016 Gold Family Reunion:Day 3

It is officially the day of the family reunion! After some outfit conflicts to trying to actually get out the door to the pictures, we finally made it to everyone's favorite moment of a family reunion......family pictures. Okay, not everyone's favorite, but I sure do love acting weird while taking pictures and why not do it with the people you love. I am happy to report that there were no tears (only of joy cause the pictures were finally done) and it was a gorgeous day. Here are just a few of my family:D

When they say pictures are worth a thousand words, they mean it literally. Dad and Nathan thought they were Superman twins, Hanna is in fact wearing socks with sandles, and Clarissa stayed in that pose the whole time.....she didn't even break her smile.

The two people who decided to keep me, even though I was born 4 days earlier.

These cuties who have been married one whole year!?

I told you she was wearing socks, and Clarissa can not break out of that smile.

These Ely kids got what it takes to be the weirdest.

My family got our pictures done first, which meant we were going to jump right into family pictures. It was quite a site to see us all in our pinks, blues, yellows, and greens, but we sure know how to do family pictures. Sadly, I don't have any of those pictures, but I did catch the action as the g-kids were getting situated for their pics. Also Kinslee on Amber's lap.

After the whole family got pictures together, each family had pictures done also. While waiting to go, everyone enjoyed the sun and the company. \

My favorite picture I took of Amber (thanks snapchat)

Can't pass up the opportunity to document us all wearing the same outfit (and my awkwardness)

Once all the pictures were done, there was just some casual activities for the rest of the day. We finished helping Clarka pack for her move and raid her kitchen for food. The younger cousins enjoyed some pool time that brought on some drama, but no worries the bigger cousins won that fight. Some of the kids enjoyed naps and others enjoyed shooting clay pigeons.

It was a fun-filled afternoon. Next on the schedule was the big family dinner. Because my family was the host of this year's reunion, we only thought it best that the rest of the family got a taste of southern cooking. My mom made it a priority to find crawfish for dinner. You can not a have a low-country boil (pronounced bowl) without crawfish. So many of us helped out with dinner by removing tails from our little swimming buddies and the lovely poop train that of course went with it. There turned a bright beautiful red when they came out of the pot all toasty and warm. You would think living in the south I would know how to eat these mini lobsters. Well I have been deprived to have such an experience, but no fear! Youtube taught me how to eat mini lobsters and I taught the rest of the gang.

Behold the feast! I was drowning in spiced water and steam. It was all really good and totally worth the sacrifice I had to go through for my little swimming friends.

I'll definitely say the food was a lot better then the clean up. Who knew it would make such a mess ;)

Another activity (after the clean-up) was the awesome talent show. And my goodness, I have never seen so much talent in one family. We might as well just win America's Got Talent. My cousin's and I decided to show off our wonderful talent of lip syncing. Enjoy!

Like I said, the talent was amazing. I'm pretty sure Disney is going to have us sign a contract with them.

And that was our day!
